NORFOLK STRUCTURE TO ACCELERATE AS EXCAVATION WORK PROGRESSES

May 20, 2020

Hutchinson Builders are progressing with the construction of Forme’s Goodwin Terrace icon, Norfolk Burleigh Heads. Forme director David Calvisi confirmed the bulk excavation is now complete and the 650mm thick post-tensioned raft slab has been poured.

Around the basement perimeter walls, the waterproofing system and shotcrete is being installed. Basement level 1 slab is scheduled to be poured on May 25 and the ground floor podium slab will be completed mid June.

“Following completion of the ground floor podium slab, the structure will accelerate with eight-day slab cycles,” Mr Calvisi said. “This will be possible due to the use of precast concrete for the vertical structural elements.” Mr Calvisi advised there was minimal disruption to construction due to the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
